Brought a pup there was told that I can not walk a dog in..only stray s that are called in..They gave me a paper with rescue sites. All are over an hour away..The woman was nice, the Man was a D*CK..This place is a TAX PAYERS NIGHTMARE, NEEDS TO BE Monitored by the State ,reported to P.E.T.A. and made a human interest story on ..WTOK !!

They won't take in animals if you bring them to their door. They won't come get the animal if you live even just a mile out of city limits. I even asked if I could take the dog into city limits and sit with the poor thing, but they said they would have me arrested for "animal cruelty." Now I have a dog with mange that I cannot afford to take care off and my cats are at risk for getting it. Something seriously needs to be done about animal care in this city. This is ridiculous. What lazy, uncaring, evil people.

If you report abuse to an animal, nothing happens. No one seems to care including the city officials. This is a high kill so called shelter. A friend of mine has reported abuse by phone and in person several times in the last month or so. Nothing has been done. Oh, they will catch a stray.....just call them. But if a dog is reported tied with no food, water or shelter in the freezing cold and already half dead and skeletal looking........nothing is done. This is outrageous. If there are any live dogs there, they can be adopted......until their day of death arrives....and that is a very short window of time. If your dog is picked up as a stray, you had better hurry and get there to save it.

I was turned away when I tried to drop off a puppy that was abandoned on my property. Since I don't live in the city limits, I'm supposed to take the animal to a shelter 45 minutes away! I'm just trying to do the right thing!
